I would tell my teenage self.... #boostyourblog

Whew! Where to begin?! If only I knew half the things, I know now when I was 13 or even 16.

Here are the TEN things I would tell my Teenage self:

1- Listen to your parents-
Back then, I thought they were crazy, they didn't know what they were talking about and none of it mattered. Everything was going to go the way I wanted it to when I wanted it to. Ha! What a joke! They were right! Life isn't the happy place that we all think it is as a child. Bills, kids, marriage and all the other junk is real and SLAPS you in the face when you’re thrown into the real world.

2- FINISH HIGH SCHOOL!-
Yes that's right I quit High school in the eleventh grade at the age of 16! STUPID! STUPID! Move! Now I don't have my GED and I would give ANYTHING to be able to go to college. However, I have two children whom I cannot afford to place into daycare for this to happen just yet. I WILL get there though! Not giving up BUT if, I would have graduated high school I could have gone to college as soon as I was done and I would have graduated by now. /face-palm.

3- Wait for children-
DO NOT get me wrong I love my children with every inch of me. I do wish that my husband and I would have waited though (had our first when I was 16, we miscarried and then at 18 I had my oldest now 21 with my last). This would have allowed plans to be fulfilled and us as parents to be financially and mentally stable for the blessings of our children.

4- Respect every moment /sec you have with them-
My grandparents raised me for the most part of my life. They were/are my parents. Now that I’m the age of 23 they are both gone and I miss them dearly. Today I regret not spending more time with them and not having the bond that I wanted with them.

5- Relax-
Still to this day I have this problem, however when I was younger it was worse. Calm down take a look around you, be happy you’re alive and relax. No one is out to get you and everything happens for a reason. Sit back relax and just go with the flow, if you know it’s wrong don't do it. If you know, it’s right but you’re scared MAN-UP! Do it anyways!

6- Don’t be so jealous-
I lost quite a few friendships over being "too jealous" with my boyfriends. I was always scared that they were going to leave me for my best friend so instead of being a good friend I dropped all relations with them just so I could be with a guy. Let me just say this, if you cannot trust the guy you don't need to be with him anyways. My best friend and I’s relationship will never be the same because of my "jealousness”.

7- Enjoy your younger years, slow down-
At the age of 16, I was rushing to get to 18. Now I would love to get back to 16. Moving out is not as fun as you think it is.

8- STAY IN GUARD!
I really regret this one too. One year I joined the color guard and the next year I quit so I could have more times with my boyfriend/friends, not a smart move. Guard was something I LOVED doing and I never should have quit.

9 PAY ATTENTION-
Hey! You! PUT DOWN THE MARKERS!  They are NOT going to get you through college. Pay attention to what the teachers are saying!

10 – Enjoy it!
As your growing up and moving on, enjoy every moment you have because life is going to fly by especially once you have children. 5 years will be in a blink of an eye and 18 well just don’t go to sleep when you wake your baby will be grown and moving out =( Enjoy it! Make the most of it! (This is kind of a note for NOW too).
