I know firsthand how it feels to have to move on a whim and make a big
move at that. I’ve moved three different times to my hometown and to my
husband’s home town (a two hour difference from each other). The first couple
of times were when we were a smaller family and didn’t have a four person
household full of all the necessities (furniture, appliances etc...) This last
time was quick hard and straight to the point. There is still a lot to be
unpacked and it’s a little harder since we went from a three bedroom to a two
bedroom mobile home. We’ve done a lot of renovating but have plans for a lot
more as well. The only up side to it all is that I’m not just in my home town ,
I’m in the actual home that I grew up in.
The same street that I used to walk up and down and play on, the same
trees that I had tire swings in and almost climbed (I was scared of heights –
well I still am lol) . This year my oldest will be starting school as well ---
sad to think that it’s already been five years since I gave birth to my sweet
turd (yes I call my boys my turds). Here soon I will be signing him up for
kindergarten and crying my eyes out on his first day, like so many other moms
and dads. I hated the way we had to move but our old landlord left us no choice
--- selling a home out from under someone with two small children was really
low of him. After looking for a new place in our old city with no luck we made
a quick decision to move “home”. Changes are underway and they are all for the
best.
Wish me luck on my new path that I have chosen in this crazy
thing we call life.
