Shattered a tragedy on the mountain-

On a cold, crisp November morning a truck pulling a fifth wheel RV rolls onto the Zuni Indian Reservation in New Mexico. There is no one around for miles and while it has a stark beauty, it is a desolate spot. The man driving the rig is a fugitive from the law. He is a tormented, lonely soul who has endured all of the misery he can tolerate. He is past trying to deal with the ever-present depression. That is all gone now and only memories remain as a constant companion, haunting his every moment. His life as a respected bank president who worked tirelessly in civic and charitable organizations on behalf of the community he served feels as if it was someone else’s life, not his. He is living an unbelievably hellish nightmare, facing at least six months in an Arizona prison.  He has nothing left to live for and no way out. The man stops the truck. He reaches across to the passenger seat, picks up his .45, and puts it under his chin.  As the sun rises at his back, the light reflects off the gun’s barrel like a sunburst.  Tears stream down his face, his hands shake, but he knows this time it is for real. There is no going back. The man’s trigger finger begins to pull back and his last thoughts are of the life he has lost, what he had been, and what he has become. 

Tea Time with Benny – The Teddy bear =)

A few nights ago my teddy bear “Benny” and I sat down and enjoyed a very nice tea party. The conversation was very interesting but the snacks and tea were definitely the best. While we were eating our Nature’s Bakery figs we talked about the horrible experience he had while waiting on the shelves at the store. “Daddy, sure did take awhile to choose me” I remembered him telling me; my husband had chose Benny for my Valentine’s Day present back in 2011.

Oriental Trading --- Product Review

Craft time is one of my favorite things to do with my boys. Not only do they love it but I love it! Watching their little brains work and create adorable creations from even the smallest things.

Touching Trauma: Healing Life's Deepest wounds -- Review

At some point in our lives we have all or will all experience some sort of Trauma. Trauma can produce itself in many different ways and fashions. For a personal example – I have been dealing with depression since the age of nine. Some may not know this but the ones closest to me do. My father passed away at this age and it was a very traumatic experience for my brother and me.
Having family members, psychiatrists and friends helping me through the challenges ahead I was finally able to cope and deal with the loss of a parent by the age of thirteen. However even now in my adult years (currently age twenty-four) the TRAUMA that I experienced from that still shows itself at times. My entire childhood I suffered from the depression, what triggered the depression was the death. It took years and years for me to realize this.
The book “Touching Trauma : Healing Life’s Deepest Wounds” is a great book written by Cora Rennie. In the book Cora goes over key points on helping to learn to handle the Trauma that is within, understanding the difference between needs vs. wants and so much more. Tutorial:

For my Wall-pop I went to the local Dollar tree  and bought four foam poster boards. Cutting them out can be VERY VERY tricky so make sure to try to keep things as straight as possible. 

The ribbon was purchased from Walmart for $2.00 a roll. After you have your four squares lay them out and glue the ribbon to the backs ( I didn't have a ruler  at the time but make sure to measure so things will be even.)

I adhered the ribbon with Super Glue but I recommend Hot-glue--- The superglue was a real trouble. 

Make the Bows and glue them to the top of each strip and then hang on your wall. I Love my Wall-pop and how it turned out even though the left NEVER wants to line-up like it should =(

Scotties Tissue -- Review

Scotties Tissue is a name that will and should ring a bell with most of you. Especially if you have ever had a cold and needed a tissue. :) They sent me a great care package from their facial tissue line --- pictured below are the amazing products I reviewed along with a $25.00 GC to Target! My favorite is the touch of Aloe -- when you have a runny nose it tends to get sore from wiping too much -- the Aloe helps to soothe instead of rubbing it raw.

Moistorizing , it’s a sore subject when it comes to my beauty routine. My face is so confusing! Normally if I use moisturizer my face becomes super oily and if I don’t use any at all it becomes super dry and causes nasty dry splotches when I apply makeup.
