Getting things a little organized --- Desk wise!

I’m not sure about you all, but my desk can really get into a big mess! Being a product reviewer can be a VERY disorganized job, however I plan to make it an organized job with just a few steps! First I have had the idea of purchasing a two drawer filing cabinet (maybe even three) here are what I would use the drawers for:

Drawer one will contain my sponsors/reviews information:
I will have it categorized A-Z with sub files for each sponsor.

Drawer two would contain coupons listed in their files so I can grab the correct insert from the correct month and clip them when I need them .

Drawer three would contain our personal files, taxes, warranties , etc...

Now back to drawer one. Here is a more detailed description of what it would contain.
Example:
Toys R Us would go in the “T” section and labeled Toys R Us. Inside their file would be information that they sent along with the review products and a great little printable that I just made and would like to share with you.

It’s a simple form but I think it could do wonders. Each time you work with the company you will need to make a new form but I believe it will help with keeping things more organized .

When you get a review fill out the form place it in a file, this to me will help with the confusion and not knowing who sent what and when.

If you use the printable the only thing I ask is that you leave a comment below please ---- thank you.

Here is a photo of what the printable looks like once printed:

And so it Begins.

Today is going to be a really busy day. It is the first day of my weekly cleaning/organizing. The boys and I have just finished lunch and they are now both down for naps. The laundry is calling my name, and then it's grind time. My plan for today is to get everything cleaned  (Not deep cleaned). Just want everything in nice working order before I begin on the hard stuff. Now please remember that I do live in a mobile home, so my space is very limited. But hopefully when I'm done my home will be something I'm very proud of!

Will try to update with some photo's later, not sure if I can get to them today since we have our monthly grocery store visit this afternoon.

If you are attempting the "Organize your house in a week" Please share, would love to see your progress.

Organize your home in one week.

There are a million different ways to organize your home, here is an idea that I came up with today.

1. Clean up first, place things where they should go. (No need to deep clean just yet.)

2. Plan Ahead- If your off work or are a stay at home parent like myself designate days for each room.
For Example:
Monday- Master Bedroom/Bath
Tuesday- Kitchen & Laundry Room
Wednesday- Living Room
Thursday- Riley's Room
Friday- Jayden's Room
Each day create a Toss/Sell/Keep piles and go through everything, even if you have to completely empty the room. But make sure you finish what you started, we don't want to make a larger mess.

3. While going through the contents of the room, deep clean. If it's the kitchen clean out the fridge, wipe out the cabinets, scrub the floors. If you do it now then it will be done and the next time it shouldn't be to hard to complete again.

4. Don't keep the SELL or TOSS items. They need to be gone as soon as possible.

5. Have a yard sale on Saturday to get rid of the items that you intend to sell. If you don't sell them all then donate them that day.

These are just a few tips to help you organize your home, let me know how this works for you. Want to share photo's of your accomplishment? Send them to sas0327@gmail.com Subject, "Pics" and they could be shared in a blog post!
